Jacob Anderson, who portrays Louis de Pointe du Lac in Interview With the Vampire, has assured that season 2 will be amazing.
“There are things that I can’t reveal about this season that were really difficult and really surprising to me, and I’ve discovered a lot of things about Louis and myself,” he said to Entertainment Weekly in December 2023.
“Another big theme in the show is that of perseverance and strength, and because of what Louis is going through this season, I’ve definitely realized that my own mind is stronger than I imagined it was. It’s more resilient. I can handle more craziness than I thought I could. It’s been really rewarding and challenging and fun.”
Will ‘Interview With the Vampire’ Return for Season 2?
AMC announced season 2 of Interview With the Vampire in September 2022, just before season 1 debuted. “This is the start of a whole Universe featuring captivating stories and characters that embody the essence of Anne Rice’s wonderful work,” Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios, said in a press release then.

What Happened at the End of Season 1?
Season 1 concluded with Louis and Claudia deciding that they had to get rid of Lestat in order to be happy. They drugged him and abandoned him, but Louis was aware that Lestat could survive by feeding on rats.
In the present day, Louis confessed to Daniel that his companion, Rashid, is really an old vampire named Armand and is his soulmate. Daniel also finds out that Louis deliberately left Lestat’s body in a spot where he wouldn’t die for good.
What’s the Story of ‘Interview With the Vampire’ Season 2?
The TV show is still following the events of the first novel, which has the same name as the show, from The Vampire Chronicles book series that has 13 novels. Book fans know that Louis and Claudia — a little spoiler warning — will be going to Paris soon, where they’ll encounter Armand, Santiago and others at the Théâtre des Vampires. Lestat, on the other hand, will probably spend some of the season healing from Louis and Claudia’s plot to kill him.
Who Will Be Back for ‘Interview With the Vampire’ Season 2?
Anderson will reprise his role as Louis de Pointe du Lac, while Sam Reid will continue as his formidable friend and foe Lestat de Lioncourt. Eric Bogosian will return as the modern-day reporter Daniel Molloy, and Assad Zaman will play Rashid (who is actually Armand).
Who Are the New Cast Members?
Delainey Hayles will take over from Bailey Bass, who portrayed young vampire Claudia in season 1. Bass revealed her departure from the show in March 2023 but didn’t explain her reasons for leaving the show. “Because of some unexpected circumstances I can’t come back to Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire for the second season,” she said in a press release then. “Playing Claudia has been a dream role and an amazing journey. I wish Delainey good luck in taking over. I’m excited to watch. I’m very grateful to AMC, the producers, Jacob, Sam, the crew and, of course, the awesome fans.”
The new season will also have David Costabile as Leonard, a “veteran TV personality,” Roxane Duran as Madeleine and Bally Gill as Real Rashid. Ben Daniels will also join as Santiago, a member of the Théâtre des Vampires.
