At the age of 84, Chuck Norris demonstrates that he’s still at the peak of his vitality.
The martial arts expert and iconic actor celebrated his birthday this past Sunday and shared his joy with fans through an Instagram video, showcasing his commitment to staying active and feeling good.
In the dynamic footage posted on Monday, the former Walker, Texas Ranger star is seen engaging in outdoor boxing amidst a picturesque landscape. With a jovial laugh, he tells the camera, “You know, I’m 84 today, but I feel like I’m 48!”
Expressing gratitude, Norris added in his caption, “Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. God Bless.”
Norris has long been recognized for his action-packed career spanning back to the 1960s. His tough-guy image has solidified over the years, leading to numerous appearances where he essentially plays himself.
He famously inspired the phenomenon known as “Chuck Norris facts,” which are exaggerated statements highlighting his rugged persona. (For instance, “Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light.”)
Beyond his iconic role in Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1993 to 2001, Norris has starred in several films showcasing his martial arts expertise.
His most recent big-screen appearance was in 2012’s The Expendables 2, where he portrayed Booker alongside fellow action stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, and others.
In January, Norris announced his comeback to the big screen, teasing his role in the upcoming film ‘Agent Recon’ with a pair of photos taken 40 years apart, each showing him holding a weapon.
“Here’s a pretty neat parallel I thought you’d all enjoy!” he shared. “Almost 40 years apart. I can’t wait for you all to see what’s in store in the upcoming film, ‘Agent Recon.’ Coming soon!”
Amidst the light-hearted comments on his post, one user humorously remarked, “The body armor wears chuck norris.” Another quipped, “Area 51 isn’t for aliens, it’s a research facility for understanding Chuck Norris powers.”
