Hilary Duff’s spouse, Matthew Koma, has recently undergone a vasectomy procedure.

On Monday, the 36-year-old musician shared a series of photos and videos documenting his surgical journey on his Instagram Story. He began with a car selfie captioned, “It’s vasectomy day!!!!!!” and followed it up with a mirror selfie showcasing his outfit for the occasion, humorously tagged as his “vasectomy fit check.”

As he awaited the procedure at the hospital, Koma continued to share mirror selfies, revealing his pre-surgery state after taking a Valium and expressing his excitement.

Following the operation, Koma posed for another selfie in his hospital gown, noting that the experience was surprisingly tolerable, even comparing it favorably to a dental appointment.

He humorously rated the procedure “10/10 would recommend” and shared a thumbs-up photo of himself in black underwear, indicating bandaging underneath.

Amidst his updates, Koma also humorously remarked on his elevated mood due to medication and playfully referred to his wife, Duff, as the “hot nurse” in one photo.

Koma’s decision to undergo a vasectomy comes after Duff announced their forthcoming third child in December 2023.

The couple’s family Christmas card revealed the news, featuring Duff cradling her baby bump with the message, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”

Duff and Koma are parents to daughters Banks Violet (5) and Mae James (2), while Duff shares son Luca Cruz (11) with her ex-husband Mike Comrie. The couple exchanged vows in December 2019, and Koma commemorated their fourth anniversary with a light-hearted post, joking about Duff’s music mix-up during their wedding.
